As you are aware, there currently is a global pandemic of virus that has spread around the world – COVID-19. Amidst the panic that has taken over the whole of the UK, we want to do our best to reassure you, not only on the safety & cleanliness of our clinics but also on how to stay as calm as you can in this time of anxiousness & panic.
Our Clinics
We take the safety of our employees and customers extremely seriously, and in addition to our usual strict hygiene measures being in place, we are going above and beyond to ensure our clinics are as clean as possible.
In order to do so, we are;
- Sterilising all kit before & after every client.
- Deep cleaning the clinic twice daily with antibacterial products, including areas which are regularly touched such as door handles, toilet flushes, taps and card machines.
- Taking personal hygiene extremely seriously by following government guidelines to avoid catching or spreading germs.
- Providing antibacterial hand wash, wipes or sanitiser gel to all clients.
- Ensuring additional signage is being placed in the clinic to remind staff and clients of the above protocols.
Any staff members who have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms is working from home.
If you are a customer at our clinic or you are attending any sort of salon, clinic or similar environment, it’s important that you also ensure you are doing your utmost to stop the spreading of this disease.
Below, we’ve highlighted a few things you could do to try and keep this virus at bay;
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly, multiple times a day and before and after entering the clinic.
- Use antibacterial wash to ensure all germs are killed.
- Carry antibacterial hand sanitiser with you at all times and use after touching dirty objects or things in public places, such as a door handles, flushes, switches, rails etc.
- If you’re experiencing any symptoms at all, please ensure you re-arrange your appointment for the safety of yourself and our therapists.
Staying Calm
With the consistent daily updates across the news, internet and every social platform you can think of, it’s difficult to know what is true and what isn’t regarding the Coronavirus and the pandemic that has occurred. However, with the situation ever-changing, it’s important to try and remain calm, only listening to the governing bodies you can trust to get the correct information.
It’s also important to ensure that rather than getting extremely anxious over a situation out of your control, you do your best to try and stay as positive as possible. Here are our top tips;
- Try and avoid social media platforms or accounts that share incorrect or unreliable information, as this may lead you to feel unsure or anxious.
- Limit the amount of TV/news you watch – it has been advised to limit the time spent watching the news, to avoid consistently worrying about the situation. Find out the facts, then try to carry on with your day.
- Take some time for self-care; we may not be able to go out to eat, to the cinema or to meet groups of friends, but we can take time for ourselves to relax. Meditate, do your nails, watch your favourite Netflix series. Try and stay present, avoiding the stress of the current state of affairs.
Things to Do
Thankfully, a large number of roles in this day and age are able to continue remotely, giving people the chance to carry on their workload as normal within their home environment. However, there are also many jobs that just cannot be continued at home, making life extremely difficult. We are also now restricted from attending public places, going out to eat, or visiting friends. So, what do we even do? Well, we’ve written a small list just for that reason.
- Binge-watch Netflix – now there’s only so much Netflix series you can watch, but try getting into a new series that will keep you hooked for the next few days.
- Get creative – do you love drawing but haven’t had the time? Grab a piece of paper and get the paints out.
- Do an online course or lesson to learn something new – it’s been a long time since practising French at school, but if you have the time, why not start to learn a new language or skill.
- Exercise – the government have advised that we are able to exercise outside, however, be precautious with the distance between yourself and others.
- Call your loved ones – make sure they’re okay, have a catch-up & keep each other company.
Whilst this situation is dynamic and leads us to feeling unsure and confused about how to continue with our daily lives, it’s important to look out for one another and spread kindness amongst the panic! For any information needed regarding the opening of our clinic (currently open as usual), please call or email us.
