A.The hair needs to be at least 1 - 2mm to be waxed. For your first few sessions the longer the hair, the easier the wax. If the hair is too long, don’t worry as our therapists will trim this for you.
Nothing feels as good as having smooth silky skin-that feeling when you walk out of your wax appointment just can’t be matched!
Here at Simply Clinics our expertly trained therapists help you get this feeling each time you visit us by using hot, warm and creme wax for the smoothest, hair-free results.
Please note, we do not treat male intimate areas.
FAQ
A.You can sometimes get small red dots and a bit of soreness after treatment. This is a normal reaction of the skin and usually disappears after a few hours. It occurs because of widened pores when the hair is removed from the root. Our trained therapists apply post wax lotion to help minimise these reactions and you will find that the more waxing sessions you have, the less of the reaction you will get.
A.If you are having a bikini wax, then you can leave it on. If you are having a Hollywood or Brazilian you will need to remove your underwear. A towel will be provided.
A.Most customers find that their hair growth cycles take 4-6 weeks but each individual will be slightly different. You may notice a small amount of hair growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get into a growth cycle that gives the best results. We recommend waxing every 4 weeks to maintain your smooth appearance.
A.The warm waxing technique involves spreading wax onto the relevant areas a small section at a time. A waxing strip is pressed down onto the wax, which is then pulled off, removing the hair from the root. Working at a slightly higher temperature, hot wax is a thicker wax applied to the skin, then allowed to cool and contract. It is then peeled from the skin removing unwanted hairs. By applying the hot wax directly onto the skin it opens the pores, ensuring that the hair is removed with minimal discomfort. Hot waxing tends to be more effective for shorter, more stubborn and coarse hairs, making it more comfortable and less painful than strip waxing for intimate areas.
A.The time of the month can creep up at you sometimes! If you have an intimate waxing appointment and you also have your menstrual cycle, don’t worry, we can still carry out your treatment as long as you’re wearing a tampon. Just be advised it will be a little more sensitive than normal.
A.Waxing during pregnancy is very popular. Our therapists are trained to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
