While rosacea can unfortunately never be cured, there are treatments and methods out there to help reduce the redness. This is where we can help!
It’s always important to invest in high quality home skincare products, especially if you are struggling with Rosacea. We offer different treatment programmes and products from award-winning brands such as Obagi, ZO Skin Health and Juliette Armand. Not sure what’s best for you and your skin? Get in touch with us to arrange a free consultation where we can help you choose the products that would be best suited to your skin.
However, there’s only so much skincare products can do. Sometimes it may be better to try a treatment to help reduce redness or veins and blemishes and help combat the flushed red look.
If it’s red blemishes or thread veins that you struggle which you find adds to your rosacea, we may be able to treat these safely with our Thermavein treatment. These small veins are typically found on the nose and cheeks and are often associated with the skin condition.
An effective treatment that can be beneficial for rosacea suffers is microneedling.
Microneedling works to replace the skin with new healthier cells. It works by ‘tricking’ the skin into thinking it is injured, replacing dead cells with new cells full of collagen and elastin. Microneedling is an invasive treatment but can actually be gentler on the skin in comparison with a chemical peel.
If you find that your cheeks and nose are covered with small, red veins, then our treatment for thread and spider veins is the one for you. This treatment can minimise the redness and appearance of thread veins on the face. Thermavein instantly removes up to 50% of threadveins.
It’s also important to keep the skin incredibly hydrated. When our skin is dry or dehydrated, it can show through redness and warmth – often the cause of flushed cheeks. Ensuring you have plenty of hydrating skincare products is essential. The Obagi Hydrate Moisturiser is one of our best-selling products, due to its deep moisturising effect that lasts all day. This moisturiser is clinically proven to improve the skin’s moisture levels for at least 8 hours.
Other products that help to hydrate the skin are hyaluronic acid and vitamin c. Vitamin c helps to build and boost the skin barrier. Protecting and building your skin’s barrier is so important, as it protects your skin from external elements. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally within the body and is responsible for keeping your skin supple, plump and smooth.
