What is a Hydrafacial treatment?
Combining the luxurious pampering of classic facial skincare treatments with serious skin health credentials, the Hydrafacial is an effective treatment for problem skin and for normal skin that needs an extra glow.
The stages of the Hydrafacial treatment
Hydrafacial treatments have six stages.
Detox with lymphatic drainage
Your therapist will use a manual lymphatic drainage technique to improve circulation and eliminate toxins via the lymph system.
This stage reduces the puffiness often caused by fluid retention in the face.
Cleansing & gentle exfoliation
The treatment deeply cleanses the skin using patented suction technology to remove the dead top layer of skin.
In this gently exfoliating and deeply cleansing stage of the Hydrafacial treatment, old skin cells, environmental debris, and makeup are removed from the skin’s surface.
Brightening
A gentle glycolic and salicylic solution brightens the skin tone. This relaxing resurfacing process sweeps away the last of the dead skin cells, revealing the fresh new layer of cells beneath and improving the skin tone.
Extraction
Enlarged pores are thoroughly cleansed with patented technology that uses suction to extract blackheads, dirt and sebum.
Hydration
Thoroughly cleansed and exfoliated skin is highly receptive to the deeply nourishing ingredients of the hydrating super serums applied at this stage.
The serums are a cocktail of intense moisturisers, including hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants.
Rejuvenation
The skin is exposed to LED light, which reduces redness and inflammation.
LED light boosts the natural production of collagen, which firms and smooths the skin.

Hydrafacial: A bespoke treatment
The Hydrafacial can be tweaked by adding specialised serums and boosters to address individual skin concerns.
Our Chelsea clients love the treatment’s beneficial effects on hyperpigmentation, dehydrated skin, dullness and coarse skin texture, acne, wrinkles and general skin health.

Is Hydrafacial treatment painful?
Not at all! This luxurious, noninvasive skincare treatment will refresh and relax you and your skin.
Will I need any downtime after my skin rejuvenation?
No downtime is required after the Hydrafacial.
After your treatment, you may experience slight redness, but this will soon subside.
Can Hydrafacial treatment be combined with any other treatments?
Our therapists at the Chelsea clinic often combine Hydrafacial treatments with Dermapen Microneedling.
How many treatments will I need?
One Hydrafacial treatment will leave your skin glowing with health, but we recommend that you have one every four weeks to maintain your beautiful skin.
The cost of the Hydrafacial treatment at the Chelsea clinic
The cost of your treatment will depend on the individual concerns being addressed.

More about Chelsea
Chelsea has always been an exciting and glamorous part of London.
Mary Quant’s miniskirt was first seen on the streets of Chelsea, and Vivienne Westwood‘s first boutique opened here in 1974.
Chelsea is still full of chic boutiques, lifestyle stores and stylish restaurants.
