Unfortunately, we’re all stuck in the same position with the current global pandemic that is Covid19. We’re unable to go to work, not allowed to leave the house, only able to pop to the shops for necessities…It can lead to you feeling quite trapped, claustrophobic and very frustrated to say the least!

Included in our banned activities (which we definitely agree, is the best thing to do), we’re unable to attend our usual beauty and skincare appointments that keep us feeling good, looking good, and our mental and physical wellbeing on point. So given that we’re stuck inside, with limited products or abilities, we’re giving you our top tips and tricks to ensure your skin is still benefiting, without the trip to the clinic.

1.Minimise Your Product

Now just because you have a lot of products, doesn’t mean that all of them should be used at one time. It’s actually been seen to be more beneficial to minimise the products used on your skin, but ensuring they’re the best ones for your skin type. Our key staples are a gentle cleanser, a hydrating serum, a deep hydrating moisturiser and a weekly exfoliator.

2. Stay Hydrated

Given the current situation, everyone is washing their hands about 100 times a day! Make sure you avoid cracked or dry skin by moisturising regularly. Have a weekly deep exfoliate in the shower for your full body, then make sure to moisturise your skin from head to toe. Carry a hand cream with you everywhere to replenish your skin after every wash, as the alcohol in hand sanitiser can strip your skin of its natural oils.

3. Wash Your Face!

Sounds simple, but when you don’t leave the house all day and aren’t wearing any makeup, it’s easy to get slack with your cleansing routine. Just because you aren’t wearing makeup, doesn’t mean your skin doesn’t produce oils within your pores, and when they’re blocked, it leads to blemishes!

4.Netflix & Chill – With A Face Mask!

There’s more time than ever now to sit back and relax with a face mask on. Try to do at least one face mask a week, whether it’s a hydrating one with aloe-based ingredients or a deep cleaning one with charcoal and antioxidant properties to help combat blemishes.

5.Sleep!

It may be one of the most basic tips, but sleep really does affect your skin, along with a lot of other things! Getting a good amount of sleep allows your skin to repair itself. It allows your skin cells to rejuvenate and replenish, which is crucial for clear looking skin.

The above points might be simple, but they really are effective! Make sure you’re sticking to your skincare routines, staying hydrated (drinking lots of water) and keeping your skin rested through a lack of makeup and an increased amount of sleep!

Stay safe and enjoy!
