Chemical Peel Chelsea

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel uses a solution to remove dead skin cells from the surface. The process takes 30-45 minutes, is painless, but may cause a brief warm tingling sensation. Peeling may occur after treatment, depending on the peel’s strength, as your fresh skin is revealed. You must be cautious with your skincare products before and after the peel.

Don’t worry; our therapist will give you plenty of great advice beforehand.

How many treatments will I need?

Many clients are delighted with the improvement in their skin after their first peel. However, it can take between one and six treatments to achieve the result you want for your skin if you have a more problematic skin condition.

How long will the effects last?

The length of time that the peel’s effects will last depends on the strength of the peel and the issue being treated. You will discuss this with your therapist before the treatment so that you know what to expect.

Treatments at Simply Clinics

We offer two different chemical peels.

The Obagi Blue Peel

Obagi is a world-renowned skincare brand, and the Blue Peel is one of its most iconic treatments. The Blue Peel uses salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids, which melt away dead skin cells from the damaged upper layer of the skin. The process encourages the production of fresh, new skin cells and promotes a brighter, healthier glow to the skin, minimising the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The Obagi Blue Peel is a powerful peel that can be used at different strengths. Our highly trained and experienced therapists will be able to adjust the product’s power to suit your skin.

Your skin can peel for a couple of weeks after your treatment as the dead layer of skin is discarded and your rejuvenated complexion is revealed, however this is not always the case.

Cost: The Obagi peel costs from £60, with a course of three available for £160 or six for £300.

You can see the effectiveness of our Obagi Blue Peel in these before and after pictures.

The Mandelic Peel

This aromatic peel is a milder but still highly effective form of chemical peel, which can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other treatments at our medispa, including micro-needling and microdermabrasion. It contains mandelic acid, a powerful exfoliant that leaves your skin glowing. The Mandelic Peel has antibacterial properties, which, combined with its gentleness, makes it ideal for acne sufferers or clients with sensitive skin.

Cost : £40 per treatment
