What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is our latest anti-ageing treatment that is now offered within the clinics. Only a small number of clinics across London are currently using Profhilo and we are delighted to be one of them. It comes in the form of an injectable and features patented NAHYCO technology, providing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid on the market.
What it’s used for?
Profhilo is used to provide a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance to the skin, through the use of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that is naturally produced by your body to provide moisturise and hydration. The largest amounts of it are found in your skin, connective tissue and eyes. Due to the ageing process, the skin’s moisture levels decrease, often leading to dry and scaly skin. In addition to this, fine lines and wrinkles can become more prominent over time. The Hyaluronic Acid used within Profhilo is incredible at smoothing out the skin, as well as creating a tighter and more youthful appearance.
How does it work?
Profhilo works through being injected into the skin at multiple injection points across a certain treatment area. Through this process, the skin receives an intake of high-dosed Hyaluronic Acid, which restores the natural levels of it that are found in the body. This leaves the skin soft, supple and wrinkle free. The treatment then encourages an increased production of collagen and elastin leading to further refreshed and rejuvenated skin. What are the results like?
Here are some pictures above of the typical results from Profhilo treatment across different areas. The pictures display how Profhilo treatments are effective at smoothing the skin and diminishing fine lines and wrinkles. Whilst the skin will start to show results a few weeks after an initial treatment, we recommend that you have two treatments of Profhilo in order to achieve the desired results.
Who is it suitable for?
Due to the skin losing HA naturally over time with ageing, we would recommend Profhilo to those who have visible signs of ageing. You are also able to have the Profhilo treatment if you have previously had dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle injections. Profhilo can be used in areas that are traditionally difficult to treat and suffer from signs of ageing, such as the neck, hands, arms and décolletage, as well as the face.
How long does it last?
Results from Profhilo can last up to six months, however this can be impacted by various different factors. Lifestyle habits such as smoking, excessive drinking, or over-exposure to the sun or tanning beds can all make the results dimmish faster over time. Due to this, we recommend “top-up” sessions every 3-6 months, depending on your results.
How much will it cost?
One syringe starts from £250, two syringes from £440 and three syringes from £650. To get optimal results, we often would suggest that more than one syringe is needed to start, depending on what your areas of concerns are. However, for future top up appointments after the 3-6 months mark, less product may be needed to restore the results that you love.
