Profhilo

A.Profhilo is injected in 10 injection points using the Bio-Aesthetic Points (BAP). The injection is administered via the bolus injection technique. The product doesn't need to be massaged after being injected but rather, within the next few hours, the product is dispersed naturally within the skin. Over the next few weeks, additional collagen and elastin is produced by the skin, plumping up the skin and transforming it from looking tired and dull, to appearing softer and healthier in appearance. The profhilo treatment is administered 4 weeks apart for optimum results and patients are advised to have treatments every 6-12 months.

A.The first step will be to book in your consultation with our medical team, who will assess your skin and talk you through the Profhilo treatment. Here you can address your concerns to the Doctor and he will assess whether you are suitable for the treatment. He will talk you through the process and possible side effects post treatment and if you are happy you can go ahead with the treatment on the day. The treatment takes up to 30 minutes. During the treatment you may feel slight discomfort but most people find it very tolerable. Dr Youssef will then go over the aftercare for your procedure and upon leaving our Front of House will book you in for your second session if necessary.

A.Profhilo provides one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid on the market. With traditional fillers, once they are injected, they stay in one place and provide a volumising effect. Profhilo however, stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin and results are visible across the whole treatment area, rather than just the injected area.  Traditional skin boosters on the market provide a medium to low spreadability within the dermis and epidermis whereas Profhilo is made to provide a very high spreadability.

A.Profhilo is the perfect treatment if your main concerns are wrinkles, saggy, ageing or dull skin. It will provide a luminous glow and overall plump effect to the skin. It can be used on many areas of the body including face, neck, hands, elbows, knees and chest. A.We encourage our clients to undergo at least two sessions of Profhilo in order to achieve the desired results. Your skin will begin to show its results over the course of a few weeks post Profhilo treatment.

A.Due to the skin losing HA naturally over time with ageing, we would recommend Profhilo procedures to those who have visible signs of ageing. You are also able to have the Profhilo treatment if you have previously had dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle injections. Profhilo can be used in areas that are traditionally difficult to treat and suffer from signs of ageing, such as the neck, hands, arms and décolletage, as well as the face

A.Results from profhilo treatment can last up to six months. Factors such as your lifestyle, environmental factors and your skin type/tone can affect how long your treatment lasts. To sustain the results of the Profhilo treatment we recommend repeat sessions every 3 months.

A.Results from Profhilo can last up to six months, however this can be impacted by various different factors. Lifestyle habits such as smoking, excessive drinking, or over-exposure to the sun or tanning beds can all make the results dimmish faster over time. Due to this, we recommend “top-up” sessions every 3-6 months, depending on your results.

A.This treatment, like all injectable treatments, comes with precautions. However, as the treatment includes the injection of a natural substance created by the body itself, it is a very safe treatment and side effects are rare. It is also performed by our experienced and highly qualified doctor and therefore the risks are minimal.

A.The treatment is minimally invasive as it’s non-surgical, so therefore pain is also minimal.

A.Profhilo treatment in London has minimal downtime. Most patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Small bumps, or some redness at injection sites may occur but these are mild and normally subside within 48 hours. Bruising is rare and sort lasting.
