A.Chin filler can be an extremely effective treatment for balancing your facial features and helping to create a symmetrical front profile. Sometimes, our facial features need elongating in order to create an aesthetically pleasing result. For clients with a ‘weaker’ chin, chin filler can be a cost effective, painless and non-invasive alternative to surgical chin augmentation.
Chin filler, also known as non-surgical chin augmentation, is the process of carefully placing dermal filler within the chin area in order to change the size and shape of the chin. Chin fillers are popular at our London clinics due to their facial balancing benefits, as the size of your chin in comparison to your nose, lips and forehead can make a dramatic difference to your appearance.
Chin filler can be beneficial for chins that are smaller, have dimples or bumps, or chins that are ‘weaker’. This treatment works well in conjunction with jawline filler to help create a symmetrical front profile. This minimally invasive procedure is pain-free due to the numbing cream provided. *Brands used for Dermal Filler treatments vary between Restylane, Teosyal, Revolax and others. Product will depend on which achieve best results*

A.Treatments typically take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the amount of filler required.
A.It is a good idea to take a few precautions before your treatment to ensure the best results. We advise our clients to avoid alcohol, aspirin, and ibuprofen for 24 - 48 hours before treatment, as these can increase bruising. It is also a good idea to avoid any treatments, such as chemical peels or laser treatments, that could irritate your skin for at least a week before having fillers. It is essential that your skin is clean and that you are well-hydrated before your treatment. We love it when clients arrive with makeup-free skin, too!
A.Downtime is minimal after chin filler treatments. You may experience slight swelling or bruising, but this typically subsides after a few days.
A.Yes! Our aim is always to provide subtle enhancements, and the expertise of our aesthetic doctors at our London clinics will ensure that your chin looks completely natural and in perfect harmony with the rest of your features.
A.You may be a good candidate for chin filler treatment if you want to improve chin definition, correct asymmetry, or achieve a more balanced profile without surgery.
A.We advise our clients to treat their skin with extra care for 24 hours after filler treatments. Your skin may be particularly sensitive, so rubbing it may irritate it or even affect the results. For the same reason, we recommend avoiding makeup and skin care products with active ingredients for 24 hours after treatment.
A.It is best to avoid anything that increases blood flow to your face, like alcohol, hot baths and showers and sun exposure. Heating your skin can cause irritation, and the increased blood flow may also encourage the filler to migrate away from its intended location. So relax and stay cool for 24 to 48 hours after your treatment.
A.We do not perform chin fillers during pregnancy or while clients are breastfeeding. Although fillers are proven to be a safe treatment, they have not been tested on pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers, and so their impact, if any, on the developing baby is unknown.
A.Chin filler can be combined with fillers in the chin, cheeks, or lips to create balance and give you complete facial rejuvenation.
