The Vampire Facial refers to a plasma-rich treatment that collects a small blood sample. The procedure separates the platelets and injects them into specific areas of concern. This treatment has gained immense popularity in the aesthetic industry.

Kim Kardashian sparked interest by posting a photo of her face post-treatment in 2012. The photo showcased the pinpoint bleeding from micro-needling the plasma into her skin. Many celebrities endorse this treatment, recognizing it as the fountain of youth.

This 100% natural, minimally invasive procedure uses plasma derived from your body. This ensures no rejection and promotes quicker healing for healthier, younger-looking skin.

The main benefits of the vampire facial treatment are:

  • Boosts collagen and elastin production: Advanced treatments like the vampire facial promote collagen and elastin production as the body heals and repairs the skin.
  • Reduces pigmentation and scarring: The treatment creates a more even complexion and texture, helping transform acne scars and sun or age spots into healthier skin cells.
  • Softens fine lines and wrinkles: The collagen boost addresses age-related skin concerns, allowing the therapist to target areas like deep forehead lines, crow’s feet, and marionette lines.
  • Rejuvenates skin’s glow: Many clients notice a youthful glow after microneedling. Our plasma-rich treatment, known as the ‘vampire facial glow,’ occurs as new skin heals and collagen-rich tissues develop.

How does it work?

After an initial consultation, the treatment begins with a routine blood test. Next, centrifugation rapidly separates the plasma from other blood components. The plasma contains a high concentration of platelets, rich in growth factors and active proteins essential for skin regeneration. Once ready, your therapist will prep your skin for treatment. The high concentration of platelets can be injected via mesotherapy or microneedling.

Mesotherapy:

The meso-therapy works through injecting the plasma into particular areas on the face, this option is used to treat more stubborn areas such as; pigmentation under the eyes or deep wrinkles on the forehead.

Microneedling:

We complete microneedling with the Dermapen device, the most popular choice in the aesthetics industry. Microneedling creates micro-punctures in the skin, tricking it into producing new, healthier skin rich in collagen and elastin.

The plasma enters your skin through the micro-channels, reaching it more effectively than regular topical serums.

Your therapist will combine both techniques and tailor your sessions to your specific concerns for rejuvenated skin. The plasma-rich treatment enhances results and speeds up downtime usually associated with these advanced facials.

Aftercare / Maintenance:

This treatment follows similar aftercare to all other facial treatments we offer, for the following 24-48 hours we recommend:

  • No hot showers / saunas, anything that will cause heat or sweat to the area as it will irritate the skin, this includes any strenuous exercise.
  • No active ingredients in the skin care routine 5-7 days before and after treatment, such as retinol, vitamin C and any exfoliating products.
  • Avoid touching or picking the area until any inflammation or swelling has gone down.

Sessions of the vampire facial can be had every 4-6 weeks, with package options being available to help diminish the stubborn skin concerns, while maintenance sessions should be completed to help attain the desired result.

How does it differ to normal microneedling?

Microneedling rejuvenates the skin and promotes healthy skin cell and collagen growth. The plasma-rich micro-needling enhances the treatment’s effectiveness by boosting collagen and elastin production using your own blood.
